Bridging the Gap
Kindermusik came to VDS asking for help on creating a logo for one of their musical programs – Bridges; they struggled internally with the design. After three rounds of concepts we aligned on a solution.
Image is everything
The initial concepts I created for this logo were inspired by a image the client provided which really illustrated the meaning of the program which is bringing together music lovers both young and old to experience and enjoy music in a safe and healthy environment.
Concepts
In developing the following concepts we had to address the following:
1 ) The mark could stand alone on it's own
2 ) Work as a sub-branded with the Kindermusik branding with the word "presents"
3 ) We were restricted to using colors from Kindermusik existing color palette

Ultimately the client approved concept 3.
OPTION 1 // An illustrated representation of the photograph the client provided
OPTION 2 // This concept is based on piano keys. I incorporated the heart to represent both person's love for music.
OPTION 3 // This concept is based on the bridge note used in sheet music as seen in the upper body of the figures
